HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Primark International Academy was founded 3rd September 2007. The Proprietress began the academic programmes with 3 staff (one which was also the Head Teacher) and 5 pupils. Today, by the mercies of God the school has over 35 qualified Teachers and as well over 1,395 pupils/students (both past and present) and many non-academic staff. 

The school began at phase 2, Jikwoyi and in September 2009 relocated to the permanent site which is plot 16-17, Primark Academy Street, beside former Timber Shed, along Jikwoyi-Karshi Express way, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. It is a beautiful serene and conducive environment for studying.

Primark International AcademyPrimark International Academy provides first-class education and good moral training for Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Primary, Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary learners. It is indeed a citadel of learning of international standard. It has professional, seasoned and experienced teachers and a manageable class size to ensure that the teachers can conveniently and effectively give high attention to the academic, moral, social and health needs of each learner as well as supervise the learners effectively. The school uses a developed integrated curriculum that makes provision for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), West African Examination Council (WAEC) and National Examination Council (NECO) requirements. To attain her lofty heights the school is well-equipped with science laboratories, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) facilities, standard library and other modern educational facilities and gadgets. Additionally, there are creativity and talent development trainings on Phonics and good linguistic French Language programmes. The school also takes part actively in inter-school academic, sports and extra-curricular competitions and this explains why the school has plenty of laurels, trophies recognitions, plaques and testimonials to her credit. 

The school has been accredited by various national bodies to conduct various certificate external examinations: 

  1. The school obtained accreditation for the Basic School Certificate Examination (BECE) in October 2017.
  2. She obtained accreditation to administer the West African Examination Council (WAEC) examinations in December 2020.
  3. She was accredited to run the National Examination Council (NECO) examinations in 2020.
